The Modern Sense of an Old-Fashioned Word

For the next couple days everyone is going to be talking about that tackle, and they’ll call for his head and ban him for a few games, and people will say that it was malicious and all that.  But did you see his face after the tackle?  He was crying, and I don’t think he would have been if he meant to injure him.  Sometimes you go in hard to try and rattle a player, but only once or twice in my life have I seen a player go in to injure someone.  I hope Ramsey gets better, and that it isn’t a complicated injury, but I also hope that everyone takes a few deep breaths before crucifying Shawcross.
