The Modern Sense of an Old-Fashioned Word

My name is Josh, I'm 17, English, and I love the poetry of W.H. Auden.

I also write and take photographs, although I do neither professionally. Music is my life muse.

I'm a British citizen, living in Florida, but attending college in New York. Go figure.
Ask me anything

from a expert's Washington Post Q&A about the Sea World death.

from Woodbridge, Va.:
I read once that they think killer whales and most of the dolphin family are actually aliens that crash landed into the ocean 10,000 years ago. Their spacecraft was destroyed so they had no choice but to live out their lives in our seas. Since there was an abundance of food, they thrived and expanded across most oceans. You think that's true?
Richard Ellis:
No.
